First experiment.
- Took a luminous landscape dvd and ripped it using DVD Decryptor. It created a subdirectory full of files totalling a little over 4 Gb (the dvd is about 2-1/4 hours in length).
- The files were a bunch of VOBs (the largest files) plus BUPs and IFOs.

Second Experiment
- I tried playing the movie from Windows Media Player.
- Finally found the File menu by right-clicking on the Windows flag at top left.
- Browsed to the subdirectory and picked the first file.
- Seemed to work fine.

Third Experiment
- I then dragged several of the files to DivX Converter, but that didn't work. It complained about unrecognized file types, variable frame rates and a missing AC3 file.

Fourth Experiment
- I tried QuickTime.
- Browse to files, but it didn't seem to recognize them as movies.
